TCC brings together over 85 seasoned investment professionals with specialized skills and backgrounds in investments, actuarial science and economics. Many of them are CFA charterholders and/or Fellows of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA).
Having extensive expertise in managing and trading fixed income securities and derivatives, from front to middle to back office, our team has developed an innovative and sophisticated approach to investing that emphasizes portfolio construction and risk management.
The IC is central to all investment decisions and oversees strategic asset allocation, trading of tactical active positions, management of fixed income portfolios and construction of traditional equity and alternative strategies.
As President of TCC, Vincent steers the Executive Committee responsible for running all TCC’s operations. A longstanding member of the Investment Committee (IC), he is also actively involved in managing the portfolios, designing the investment strategies, and in overseeing risk and asset/liability management.
Prior to joining the team in 2009, Vincent worked at a large consulting firm, providing actuarial and investment consulting services to institutional clients. He brings over 20 years of experience managing pension plans, including portfolio management, risk and asset/liability management and establishing funding and investment policies.
Vincent holds a Bachelor of Actuarial Science from Laval University. He is also a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a CFA charterholder. Vincent has been nominated in 2018 and in 2019 in the Power 100 list of the Chief Investment Officer magazine.

As Senior Vice-President, Fixed Income and Derivatives, Marc-André oversees all fixed income portfolios and tactical asset allocation. He is a longstanding member of the Investment Committee (IC), and an active member of TCC’s Executive Committee.
Prior to joining the team in 2009, Marc-André managed pension assets portfolios for large para-public organizations. He brings over 20 years of experience in direct portfolio management with in-depth knowledge of global macro strategies, derivative instruments, fixed income and portfolio construction.
Marc-André holds both a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Ottawa and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Sherbrooke. He is also a CFA charterholder.

As Senior Vice-President, Equity and Alternative Investments, Nelson oversees all externally managed mandates across public equities and alternative investment strategies, including real estate, infrastructure, private equity, private debt and hedge funds. He is a longstanding member of the Investment Committee (IC), and an active member of TCC’s Executive Committee.
Prior to joining the team in 2009, Nelson worked as a consultant and director of investments for several institutions. He brings over 20 years of experience in establishing investment policies, selecting and monitoring third-party investment managers, as well as making asset allocation decisions.
Nelson holds a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Mathematics from Concordia University. He is also a CFA charterholder.

As Vice-President and Head Trader, Stéphan oversees and conducts trading operations to implement the investment decisions made by the Investment Committee (IC), of which he is a longstanding member, and contributes to the tactical and strategic decision process. He is also a portfolio manager for various fixed income strategies.
Prior to joining the team in 2011, Stéphan was a senior fixed income trader for large private or para-public organizations. He brings over 20 years of experience in fixed income and derivatives trading.
Stéphan holds both a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Montréal as well as a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Sherbrooke. He is also a CFA charterholder.

As Vice-President, Investments & Risk, Vincent is responsible for managing risk and overseeing the portfolio construction process for TCC’s investment strategies. A longstanding member of the Investment Committee (IC), he also acts as a structured/synthetic credit and liability-driven investment (LDI) specialist for the firm.
Prior to joining the team in 2011, Vincent worked at a large consulting firm, providing actuarial and investment consulting services to institutional clients. He brings over 20 years of experience in the asset/liability management of pension plans, including portfolio management, risk management, monitoring of active risk and liquidity risk, risk budgeting and the establishment of funding and investment policies.
Vincent holds a Bachelor of Actuarial Science from Laval University. He is also a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a CFA charterholder.

As Vice-President, Asset Allocation, Jean-François is responsible for TCC’s strategic and tactical asset allocation. He is also a longstanding member of the Investment Committee (IC).
Prior to joining the team in 2015, Jean-François was senior investment strategist for one of the largest public pension plans in Canada where he was involved in asset allocation decisions and assessing the macroeconomic outlook. Previously, he also worked as asset allocation advisor for institutional clients of a large para-public organization. He brings close to 20 years of experience in the asset/liability management and macroeconomic analysis.
Jean-François holds a Bachelor of Actuarial Science from Laval University and a Master of Applied Finance from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). He is also a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) as well as a CFA charterholder.

Infrastructure & client solutions
As Chief Operating Officer, Julie is responsible for all of TCC’s middle and back office operations, including administration of complex derivative products and information technology functions. Julie oversees these activities while ensuring process efficiency, data accuracy and the implementation of best-practices. She is also an active member of TCC’s Executive Committee.
Prior to joining the team in 2016, Julie has led teams dedicated to data management, middle office functions, and business processes for important organizations in the public or private sectors. In these roles, she was in charge of implementing a rigorous governance and control framework, as well as managing all current operations. She brings over 15 years of experience within operation groups of large financial institutions.
Julie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC Montréal. She is also a CFA charterholder.

As Vice-President, Finance & CFO, Sébastien oversees all financial and fiscal duties, as well as all corporate and investment accounting activities for TCC since 2019. He is also a member of the Executive Committee.
Having held various roles of increasing responsibility at world-leading audit firms and financial institutions, he brings to the team nearly 15 years of in-depth experience in management, finance and accounting.
A member of the Quebec Chartered Professional Accountants Order (CPA), Sébastien is also a graduate of HEC Montréal where he has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration specialized in professional accounting, as well as a post-graduate diploma specialized in public accounting. In addition to his professional responsibilities, he is actively involved as Treasurer of UpstartED, a non-profit organization supporting the development of Canadian students and teachers to help them make a positive impact in their communities.

As Vice President Legal Affairs & Assistant Corporate Secretary, Maria oversees all of TCC’s legal matters.
A member of the Bar of Québec since 1987, she brings over 30 years of experience and strong knowledge of corporate, securities, governance, pensions and benefits law matters, as well as investment products. Prior to joining TCC in 2019, she held several senior legal positions with reputed organizations in the corporate and financial industries. Throughout her career, she also sat on various professional and community associations and Board of Directors.
She holds civil and common law degrees from McGill University and a B.A. from Concordia University.

As Chief Compliance Officer & ESG Leader, Kenny leads all compliance functions and ESG practices at Trans-Canada Capital.
Prior to joining the team in 2020, Kenny was Chief Compliance Officer at a global Canadian asset management firm specializing in equity and fixed income investments. Previously, he also worked for various organizations in the para-public and private sectors. He brings a strong knowledge of the financial industry and close to 20 years of experience in compliance, governance and risk management.
Kenny holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC Montréal. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), a Chartered Accountant (CA), a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), as well as a CFA charterholder. In addition to being a member of CFA Montreal’s ESG Committee, Kenny is also a Board and Audit Committee member of the Foundation of Greater Montréal.

As Global Head, Client Solutions, Jean-François is responsible for all of TCC’s business development and sales efforts, in addition to overseeing the client service functions and being an active member of the Executive Committee. He joined TCC in 2020 from a global asset manager, where he held the role of Managing Director, Head of Canadian Sales.
Jean-François brings over 30 years of industry experience, having held senior positions with international investment consulting firms, mainly in Montreal and Toronto.
In addition to being an Honors Tutorial College graduate of The Ohio State University, he holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree from Concordia University, as well as an Executive Masters of Business Administration from the University of Sherbrooke. He is a member of the CPBI (Canadian Pensions and Benefits Industry).
